The People's Committee of Lao Cai province cooperates with the Vietnam Tourism Association on June 16 to organize a conference on stimulating tourism in the Northwest - Lao Cai and discussing on building special tourist products. The program was attended by representatives of Lao Cai province and more than 150 business units of tourism and travel services across the country.

Agreeing with this view, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, representative of OTG Travel (Da Nang), said that the Northwest is very new and potential for Central tourists. Coming to the Northwest, Central tourists have to go through a long journey and use many means of transportation. To attract tourists, tourism businesses in the Central region need to cooperate with each other to deploy more Northwest tours, build new product packages to stimulate demand.
