Date : 2020-06-02

According to The Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, a source from the Japanese government said it would allow citizens of four countries to enter Japan early, including: Vietnam, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, due to the good prevention of epidemics.

Vietnam is on the list of few countries that are expected to enter the country of the early sunrise because of good control of the epidemic. According to the Japanese newspaper, the immigration control in Japan will last through June though businessmen urged the government to early calculate solutions.

Japanese economy reconstruction minister Yasutoshi Nishimura has announced that he will discuss with officials from four countries in early June because Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand are Japanese partners in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Thai Partnership. Binh Duong (CPTPP), and in Thailand, many Japanese enterprises have business establishments.

China and South Korea also requested permission to enter Japan, but the Tokyo government is still considering it. According to The Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, the entry consideration for citizens of these two countries will be in the second round or later.

The Japanese government announced that it could ease entry restrictions from early summer. International travelers will be required to present the relevant documents confirming a negative COVID-19 from their home country. When entering Japan, all foreigners must be checked again.

The Japanese government wants to restart an economy that was hit hard after consumption taxes rose last year and the COVID-19 pandemic caused business activities to stall.

Tourism is one of the hardest hit sectors because the COVID-19 pandemic keeps many Japanese people at home.

Hope for a large number of foreign visitors to Japan this summer has dissipated when the Tokyo Olympics was postponed and Japan imposed a ban on entry to more than 100 countries and territories.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, on May 25, announced the lifting of a state of emergency for Tokyo and four other provinces. These are the remaining prefectures to apply a state of emergency, after 42 out of 47 cities and provinces in Japan removed the situation.

Thus, the emergency situation applied in Japan from April 7 to 4 has been lifted across the country, whereby the people of this country begin to return to normal life.
