Note: All documents must be translated into English (except for passports, identity cards, and other English-Vietnamese bilingual documents). Notarized translations are required to be stamped by the Department of Justice.

The procedure for applying for a Korean Visa is as follows:

Step 1

Prepare all necessary documents before applying for Visa at Korean Embassy / Consulate in Vietnam.

Step 2

Apply for Korean visa

Before applying, you need to ensure that you do not fall under the Visa exemption to Korea. Visa exemption cases are:

+ Vietnamese citizens holding official passports, diplomatic passports and APEC cards (traveling with ordinary passports) for a stay of no more than 90 days.

+ Citizens of countries of Macao, Brunei, Taiwan, USA ... if traveling less than 30 days; Hong Kong, Japan, or Australia if your stay is not longer than 90 days.

Receiving time: Morning: 09:00 - 12:00 weekdays from Monday to Friday (except public holidays)

Time to return Visa results: Afternoon: 14:00 - 16:00 weekdays from Monday to Friday (except public holidays)

You must be at 8 am to get the order number. Then pay a $ 20 consular fee (only in US dollars) and wait for the Embassy to check the file. If the application is complete, you will receive an appointment to get a visa after 08 working days.

A few notes about the procedure for Korean Visa

- Visa fee:

+ If applying for Visa for less than 90 days, pay fee of $ 20.

+ If you apply for a visa for more than 90 days, the fee is $ 50.

+ If you apply for a Visa for 2 consecutive visits within 6 months, the fee is $ 60.

+ If you apply for a Visa many times in a row, the fee is $ 80 (only for this type of Visa only applies to those who have entered Vietnam more than 4 times within 2 years to the date of the intended visa. ).

- Visa processing time limit: about 8 working days from the date of application (applicable to all types of Visa except marriage, study abroad and labor). Requests that are denied must be retrieved within a week from the date of notification of results.

- When you apply for and receive a Visa, remember to bring your original ID card or citizen ID card.
