1. Types of Korean Visa

Based on the time limit and the number of times the entry permit, Korean visas are classified into 2 categories:

Korean visa 1 time: With this visa, visitors are allowed to enter 1 time within 3 months

Korean visa many times: This is a visa that allows visitors to enter Korea many times in a period of 3 years.

For Vietnamese students in Korea, the Korean government allows students after graduation to stay in the job for 6 months from graduation. Accordingly, students need to complete the renewal procedures and submit them directly to the overseas student management section of the Vietnam Embassy in the office area.

What documents will you need to prepare to apply for a visa extension?

- An application for extension of study / research time.

- A copy of certificate / nomination for study / research in Korea by Vietnamese agencies.

- An application for a future work plan in Korea (which company you plan to apply for, what kind of job, your desired salary, ...).

- Report of academic results during the time abroad.

- Copy of current school certificate.

- Academic transcript.

- Letter of recommendation from professor.

- 2-sided photo of residence card and student card.

- Passport photo.

- Portrait.

In some special cases, students may be required to prove financially within 6 months of applying. It is mandatory for students to stay for the school to have a referral from Professor.

Students who have expired their residency and want to continue living in Korea to work, need to apply for an extension of their stay. If you apply for an extension after the expiry of your residency period, a penalty will be imposed. Failure to do so may result in fines for illegal entry (registration for extension of residence at the Immigration Department or the nearest place of residence). Visa fee is only received in $ units and paid individually.
