China visa categories

There are different visa categories depending on subject and purpose of entry:

Visa C - Issued to foreign employees working in international means of transportation such as trains, airplanes, ships and road vehicles. Accompanying family members will also be granted this type of visa.

Visa D - Issued to people who come to China to settle.

Visa F - Issued to people who come to survey, interview for a short-term technology exchange and to practice for no more than 6 months in China.

Visa Q1 - Issued to family members of Chinese citizens or members of foreign families legally residing permanently in China. The goal is to reunite with families or guarantors.

Visa R- For foreigners with talents and professional skills that China is in need of.

Visa S1 - Issued to parents, spouses, or parents-in-law or children under 18  of foreigners working in China. with the purpose of visiting relatives or dealing with personal problems and wanting to stay in China for a long time.

Visa X1 - For long-term students studying in China.

Visa X2 - For short-term students studying in China.

Visa Z - Issued to people working in China.

Required documents for China visa application

- A filled-in China visa application form

- 2 photograph of the specified size (4x6cm), eye-centered, plain background.

- Passport, in original (with a minimum validity of six months)

- A copy of ID card

- A copy of permanent residence

- A copy of Birth certificate in case there is a child acompanying

- Labour contact or employment agreement
