The order of execution:

Step 1: Prepare documents as prescribed by law.

Step 2: Apply:

1. Vietnamese agencies, organizations, Vietnamese citizens and foreigners legally residing in Vietnam, shall submit their dossiers to one of the three working offices of the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security:

a) 44-46 Tran Phu, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.

b) 254 Nguyen Trai, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

c) 7 Tran Quy Cap, Da Nang City.

2. Officials receiving dossiers examining the legality and content of the dossier:

+ If complete, valid, then receive the file, print and give a receipt, an appointment to return results.

+ If the application file is not yet valid, the receiving officer will instruct the applicant to complete the application.

* Application time: from Monday to Saturday morning (except on New Year, holidays and Sundays).

Step 3: Get results:

a) The person who receives the results of giving the receipt to the officer who returns the examination and comparison results, if there is a result of the extension of temporary residence, requests the person who comes to receive the results to pay the fee and sign the receipt.

b) Time: from Monday to Friday weekly (except New Year holidays, public holidays and Saturday and Sunday)

How to do it: directly at the office of the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security.

Composition, number of records:

+ Profile component:

a) Declaration form for issuance, supplement, amendment of visa and extension of temporary residence (form NA5).

b) Passport or valuable papers of international travel of foreigners.

+ Number of files: 01 (one) set.

Processing time: no more than 05 working days from the date of receipt of complete file.

Subjects implementing administrative procedures: agencies, organizations and foreigners legally residing in Vietnam.

Agencies carrying out administrative procedures: Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security.

Results of administrative procedures implementation: extension of temporary residence certificate.

Fee (if any): USD 10.

Name of application form, declaration form (if any): Declaration for issuance, supplement, amendment of visa and extension of temporary residence (form NA5 attached to Circular No. 04/2015 / TT-BCA, January 5) / 2015 of Ministry of Public Security).

Requirements and conditions for implementation of administrative procedures (if any):

1. Agencies and organizations that apply for the grant, supplement, amendment of visas, extend temporary residence permits for foreigners or Vietnamese holding foreign passports have dossiers proving their legal person status at the Department of Management Immigration - Ministry of Public Security.

2. Foreigners and Vietnamese holding foreign passports with valid passports, visas (except for visa exemption) and temporary residence certificates granted by competent Vietnamese agencies and currently residing in Vietnam and not subject to "not yet allowed to enter Vietnam" or not subject to "suspension of exit".

3. Vietnamese citizens requesting for granting, supplementing, amending visas, extending temporary residence for foreigners, Vietnamese people holding foreign passports must be persons having father, mother, wife, husband and children relationship with foreigners, Vietnamese holding a foreign passport (presenting documents proving their relationship).

+ Circular No. 04/2015 / TT-BCA, dated January 5, 2015 of the Ministry of Public Security, providing for forms of documents related to entry, exit, and residence of foreigners in Vietnam.

+ Circular No. 219/2016 / TT-BTC dated 10 November 2016 of the Ministry of Finance stipulating the regime of collection, remittance, management and use of fees and charges in the fields of exit, entry, transit and residing in Vietnam.

+ Circular No. 190/2012 / TT-BTC, dated 09/11/2012 of the Ministry of Finance amending and supplementing Circular No. 66/2009 / TT-BTC, dated 30/3/2009 of the Ministry of Finance the regime of collection, remittance, management and use of fees for granting passports, visas, papers on entry, exit, transit and residence in Vietnam.
