Korea, the kimchi country, is a very beautiful country with unique oriental culture. Korea is also a country with many beautiful landscapes that attracts millions of tourists from around the world to come and admire the beauty of the country. To travel to Korea, you need a visa as a first step. Visavietnamsupport will provide you with useful information on how to apply a Korean visitor visa.

Required documents

1. Passport, in original (with a minimum validity of six months) (for those wanting to stay for less than 90 days)

2. A filled-in visa application form with photographs of the specified size (3.5x4.5cm), attached on the form. ( The form must be written in English or Korean. The information provided on the visa application form must be compatible to that on the passport. If children has the same passport as their parents, please attach their photos in article 34 of the form)

3.Proof of Profession, in original and notarized copy: Labour contract/ job acceptance letter, Certificate of business registration, Vacation request letter.

4.Proof of Finance, in original and notarized copy

-  Saving book with at least 5000$ or 100,000,000vnd

- Additional documents: household ownership certificate, ownership certificate of other valuable assets, etc.

-  Payslips in the past 3 months, confirmed by the company

- Indivdidual income tax papers in the past 3 months

- Certificate of social insurance participation issued within latest 3 months

- In case you can provide proof of your finance status, you can use your family member's proof of finance along with proof of relationship with that person, confirmed by local authority. If applicant is juvenile, an agreement letter from parents or proof of relationship are required.

If applicant is retires, pension book or retirement decision are required.

=> People in the following cases are Exempt from proof of finance : People working in government agencies: certificate of employees; People having been to OECD countries (in the last 5 years) or having been to Korea more than 2 times: proof of entry and exit (copy of visa). List of OECD countries

- A notarized copy of ID card

- Travel schedule

- Hotel booking and roundtrip flight tickets (in case you're staying in a relative's house, please provide their addresses and contact numbers)

Notes during application

- Applicants applying for Korea visitor visa are not usually called for interview. In case you are called for an interview, learn necessary information on Embassy website to have better answers.

- You have to prove that you have a stable job and life in Vietnam, binding relationships and you'll definitely exit the country after the trip and have an specific travel plan. Be confident and be yourself in the interview.

Time for receiving documents

- From 9-12am, Monday to Friday (except holdays)

- Result announcement: 2-4pm, Monday to Friday (except holdays)

- Processing time: 8 days from application date

- To get your visa, bring your original passport with you.
