US visa is a legel focument allowing foreign citizens to enter the USA more easily for the purpose of toursism and business

Passport and visa are two important documents when traveling abroad or entering any country. It's much easier to get a passport than a visa as visa application requires you to learn about the procedure and related regulations. This is an overview of U.S visas and U.S visa application.

U.S visas hold the key to enter the USA. To date, there are  types of U.S visas according to U.S Immigration Laws:  immigrant visas and non-immigrant visas. Let's join us to find out!

Immediate relative U.S visas:

- IR1 / CR1: Spouses of U.S citizens

- IR2 / CR2: biological child or stepchild of spouses of US citizens, 

under 21 years old

- IR3: Adopted by a US citizen

- IR4: Adopted by a U.S. citizen(adopted in the United States)

- IR: biological parents of a US citizen

- K1: fiances(fiancee) of US citizens

- K3: Spouses and stepchilds of spouses of US citizens

Family-based U.S. visas

- F1: single child of a US citizen

- F2A: Spouses and single children under 21 years old of a permanent resident.

- V: Nonimmigrant visa for spouses and single children under 21 years old of a permanent resident to come to the United States  during processing time of guarantee documents for F2A

- F2B: Single child over 21 years old of a permanent resident

- F3: married child of a US citizen

- F4: Siblings of US citizens

Employment U.S. visas

For this subject, a certificate from U.S. Department of Labor and guarantee documents filed at US Immigration might be required.

- E1: preferential employee

- E2: High-level experts

- E3: Skilled workers

- E4: Settled upon a special kind of vision

If you enter the United States for the purpose of a short and temporary stay and will leave the United States after the end of your trip, you should apply for a U.S non-immigrant visa. Currently, the non-immigrant Visa is divided into 09 main catergories:

- US visitor/ Business visa

- US Work Visa 

- US student visa

- US visa for exchange customers

- US transit Visa/ Visa for tailors

- US visa for entrepreneurs and investor under US treaty. 

- US Visa for religious activists

- US Visa for Internal employee

- US Visa for members of Press and Media

More specifically, nonimmigrant visas are divided into these corresponding subjects:

- P: Athletes, artists, entertainers.

- E3: Australian citizens - experts

- BCC: Mexician border crossing card 

- B1: Business travelers

- D: Sailors / Crews (serving overseas on U.S. ships or aircrafts)

- A: Diplomatic officials and foreign government officials

- B1: Internal employees or staff (Must be accompanied by a foreign government staff)

- G1-G5, NATO: Staff of designated international organization and NATO

- J: exchange guests 

- J, Q: intercutural exchange guests 

- K1: Fiance 

- A2, NATO1-6: Foreign military personnel stationed in the United States

- O1: Foreign citizens with special ability in science, art, education, business or sport

- H-1B1: Experts of Free Trade Agreement (FTA): Chile, Singapore

- I: Media representative (media, press)

- L: Internal rotating staff in the company

- B2: Medical treatment guests

- TN / TD: Experts of NAFTA: Mexico, Canada

- H-1C: Nurses go to areas lacking health care professionals

- J-1, H-1B: Doctor

- R: Religious activist

- H-1B: Occupation in fields requiring high-level knowledge

- F-1: Students - students acquiring knowledge and languages

- F-2: Dependents - dependents of individuals holding US F-1 Visa

- M-1: Student - apprenticeship

- M-2: Dependents - dependents of individuals holding US M-1 Visa

- H-2A: seasonal agriculture temporary   worker

- H-2B: non- agricultural temporary worker

- B-2: Tourists

- H-3: Students attending training programs

- E-2: Investors under U.S treaty

- E-1: Businessmen under U.S treaty

- C: Transit to United States

- T-1: Victim of human trafficking

- A1-2, G1-4, NATO1-6: people applying for a new U.S Visa - A, G, and NATO

Documents for U.S visa application

When you are called for an interview, you need to provide these documents:

- ID card or identity papers with photos.

- Confirmation of interview appointment.

- The original diplomatic note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

- Confirmation of DS-160 visa application with barcode with a new 5x5cm photo taken within 06 months, white background, eye centered.

- A receipt of payment of the bank's non-refundable visa issuance fee.

-  Signed form I-20 or DS-2019 for applicants of student visas and visas for exchange visitors. If the applicant is under 18 years old, a parent or guarantor's  signed form I-20 is required

- Form I-129 or Form I-797 for  applicants of U.S work visas for a limited period of time and rotating employees (visas H and L).

- Passport with validity of at least 06 months from the expected departure date from USA. Children must also have their own passports.

Note:

- Proof of relations in Vietnam must be kept separate and submitted only when required.

- Submit all the above documents with their notarized copies, but bring the originals with you when necessary
