DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY SCHENGEN VISA

I. Tourist Schengen Visa:

- 2 pictures 3.5 × 4.5 (white background not to exceed 6 months)

- Original passport, valid for 6 months, with signature

- ID card (photo, notarization)

- Household registration book (copy, notarized all pages)

- Marriage / divorce certificate (notarized copy)

- Demonstrate work in Vietnam

+ If the visa applicant is an employee, a copy of the labor contract (with the company's seal), the latest 3-month salary slip, the travel permit application.

+ If the applicant is a business owner, a copy of the business license (notarized), latest 3 months tax payment receipt (if any) is required.

- Financial Proof:: Housing documents (if any), savings book (if any) (copy, not more than 2 months), or account balance at the present time.

II. Schengen visas to visit relatives

- 2 pictures 3.5 × 4.5 (white background not to exceed 6 months)

- Original passport, valid for 6 months, with signature

- Demonstrate work in Vietnam

TYPES OF SCHENGEN VISA

Schengen visas are divided into two main categories: short-term visas and transit visas

Short-term Schengen visa (short stay):

This is the most common Schengen visa that allows a visa holder to enter the Schengen area one or more times in 26 countries for reasons such as travel, work or family visits and stay 3 months. The visa holder may extend the visa for a period of five years and choose one of the following visas:

One-time entry visa: One-time entry visa holders will have a trip to Schengen with a stay of no more than 90 days.

-Visa multiple entry: allows visitors to travel to many countries in the Schengen area for a period of 6 months and a stay of 90 days.

Schengen transit visa:

For citizens coming from any country or non-Schengen departure point at the Schengen airport to transfer their flights to a third country outside the Schengen area. The length of stay for this visa depends on the duration of the visa.
