A useful guidlines for Egypt visa application

Vietnamese citizens are not on the list of countries that are exempt from Egyptian visas therefore, you must apply for an Egypt visa when you want to travel to this country.

The first condition for Egypt visa application is that your passport must not be blank, which means that you need to prove that you have traveled outside Vietnam. At least, to some Southeast Asian countries that do not requires visas such as Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, etc. It's even better if you've already had Japan, USA, Australia or Schengen visas.

You need to prepare all the necessary documents that the Embassy requests.

Checklist for Egypt visa document (approved by the Embassy)

Your papers should be translated into English or French. You can translate by yourself or ask for help from some notarized translation service company.

1. Visa application form: Fill out the form in English, French or Egyptian language, glue your photograph on the top right corner. If applicant is juvenile, parents' signatures are required. Below are instructions for visa application form.

2. Passport in original:  with a minimum validity of six months and at least 2 blank page.

3. 2 photogragh of specified size(4x6cm): with white background, clear facial feature and eyes centered; recently taken. One to be glued on visa application.

4. Marriage Registration( If married)

5. Proof of Profession: notarised labour contract showing full name, position, starting date and contract end date. Besides, stamped vacation request letter is required.

6. Proof of Finance: at least 80,000,000vnd in the bank account. Saving account can be used.

7. Travel Schedule: as much detailed as possible, stating departure date and places to visit every day.

8. Paid roundtrip flights: Please note that the Embassy requests the paid flights, not reservation. If you find cheap flights, don't hesitate to purchase.

9. Hotel booking confirmation.

10. If you're in a group tour, a cover letter from travel agency is required.

11. Visa application fee: 25$, only dollars are acceptable.

If you have and troubles, please contact the Embassy. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

The Embassy is also the home to the Ambassador, locating in a small road. The documents for visa appication should be handed in on the  left ground floor of the building.

If you live in Ho Chi Minh city, you can ask your family relatives or friends to hand in the papers for you. Carefully check your documents before sending them away.

If you travel in group, you can send a representative to do the work.

The time for the public service to receive the documents is from 9am-12pm every working day. 

The document processing time is from 1 to 2 weeks. You should make a call to check if the visa has been approved or not.

The validity of visa is 90 days from the issue date. During this time, you can enter the country more than once.
