Guidlines to Belarus Visa application

when enter or exit Belarus, citizens from other countries must have valid passports or alternative documents and visas with them. In this post, we are going to look at Belarus visa application.

Entry visas are divided into categories: single, double and multiple entry. A single entry visa permits you to enter just once, transit or reside in Belarus for a certain period of time up to the maximum of 90 days every six month period starting from the date of entry. A double entry visa permits you to enter twice, transit or reside in Belarus for a certain period of time up to the maximum of 90 days every six month period starting from the date of entry. A multiple entry permits you to enter many times, transit or reside in Belarus for a certain period of time up to the maximum of 90 days every six month period starting from the date of entry.

Belarus Visa application procedure

To apply for Belarus visa, applicant must present these types of documents to Embassy of Belarus.

Passport

A filled-in application form

2 photographs of the specified size (4x6)

Cover letter( original)

The visa application form can be filled in by handwriting or typing in the regional language of where the Embassy of Belarus is located, or in Russian, English, or Belarusian.

The information must be adequate, consistent and showing the actual purpose of the trip.

The applicant must sign in the form by him/herself. If the applicant is juvenile, the form must be signed by a legal representative. Portrait photos are taken within latest 6 months, under the standards of ISO/IEC 19794-5, size 35х45mm.

Transit Visa(type B) is issued for transit through Belarus territory within the limited time of the request, valid for one year and takes effect within 2 days of entry into Belarus - applied for single, double and multiple visa to the third country that cross Belarus territory.

In case there is no need for a transit visa to the 3rd country, transit visa is issued under these circumstances: applicant must show train ticket, plan ticket, taxi bills to that country or the booking confirmation.

Visa application for personal purposes (type C) is issued basing on these documents:

The original of the invitation letter, issued by the citizen and migration management agency, according to a form issued by the Ministry of the Interior

A written notice, confirming the need for an emergency entry into Belarus, in case the relatives of the notified person are seriously ill, or dead, the notice may be sent by Fax or other contact lines;

Court attendance programs, invitation letter can be sent by Fax or other contact lines;

The original document confirming residence in the territory of Belarus, - as the basis for completing the entry visa for homeowners and their family members;

Other cases- basing on other documents and decision of Embassy staff.

Entry visa for the purpose of visiting relatives (Type C) - basing on the original invitation letter issued by the following set of procedures:

Approved by agencies of the Department of Citizenship and Migration Department of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Belarus (visa and passport department) in accordance with registered address in Belarus.

Single, double and multiple entry visas are issued upon the validity period stated on the invitation letter, not exeeding 90 days.

Multiple entry visa for thev purpose of visiting relatives (type D) with 1-year validity, is issued for foreign citizens and their family members (husband, wife, children under 18) that have close relationships with Belarusian citizens on the basis of equivalent documents, issued by agencies of the Department of Citizenship and Migration Department of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Belarus (visa and passport department) in accordance with registered address in Belarus with duration of residence in Belarus (365 days- mulyiple entry).
