Required documents 

How well you prepare for your profile will decide how fast the processing time is. This is the stage that requires students to invest most time and efforts in order to cut down the processing time and have a higher  chance of studying in Australia.

• Visa application form 157: Fill out all the information about your studying and working experiences

• Relative declaration form 67: Provide specific information about your family members who are residing in Vietnam, Australia or any other countries.

• Passport, in original (with a minimum validity of six months)

• 4 photograph of the specified size (4x6cm)

• A copy of family registration book or admission letter from an Australian college

• Ciriculumv vitae in Vietnamese with confirmation from local authority

• A notarized copy of  birth certificate

• A copy of marriage registration (if married)

• Proof of profession (labour contract, vaction request letter,etc)

• Proof of Health insurance

• Study plan. This is a very important document that makes you stand out and the key to visa approval. Even if you have all the necessary document, an unclear study plan can lead to visa refusal or lengthen the processing time.

• Notarized copies of any certificate, diplomas, academic records when in Vietnam.

• Proof of finance: saving book, house ownership certificate, proof of income... to prove that your family can afford tuition fees, transportation and accomodation when you study in Australia.

• Besides, if applicant is under 18 years old, a letter of guarantee is required.

According to the official information of the Australian Department of Immigration and the National Safety Fund, the visa application fees and biometric procedures for international students from 2016 are as follows:

- Primary applicant: 550 AUD 

- Dependents over 18 years old: 410 AUD

- Dependents under 18 years old:  135 AUD

Interview

- Not all applicants are called for an interview. As we have said before, this depends on how well you prepare for your profile.

- Usually, applicants are called for an interview 1-2 weeks after they receive a health check-up notice.  You won't be informed of the interview date and time beforehand. Therefore, keep an eye on your phone and get yourself ready.

- Usually, students applying for student visa are called for interview. In some cases, parents or guarantor of students under 18 years old are called to answer interview questions.

- An interview lasts for 15-30 minutes. In some cases, it could last for up to 1 hour.
