Before entering Russia, you are required to apply for a visa at Russian consulates and each type of visa has its own mandatory requirements. Documents for Russia business visas

Personal document

• A filled-in Russia visa.

• 2 photograph of the specified size (3.5x4.5cm)

• Passport, in original (with a minimum validity of six months) with at least 2 blank pages. A copy of old passport (if any)

•  A copy of family registration book 

• A copy of ID card

• Ciriculum Vitae with confirmation from local authority

• Proof of marital status: marriage registration, divorce certificate, death certificate of husband/wife.

Proof of profession 

• Labour contract/ Recruiment decision/ company's confirmation letter/Vacation request letter/ payslips in the past 3 months (if applicant is employed)

• Certificate of business registration, tax papers in the past 3 months, VAT, etc (if applicant is self-employed or a company owner)

​Proof of Finance

• Payslips in the past 3 months

• Bank statements with at least 5000$ in the account

• Original and copy of saving book, credit card

• Proof of property ownership (motobike, house ownership certificate, stocks, papers of other great value assets, ..

Documents from a Russian company

• Invitation Letter stating the inviter and the invited, purpose and time of the trip.

• Letter of Guarantee

• Certificate of business registration, tax paper.

Documents from a Vietnamese company

• Certificate of business registration, tax paper.

• Decision to send employee to work overseas, stating applicant's name, position, address, contact number, time and purpose of the trip

• Working schedule

+ Proof of business relationship between Vietnam-Russia agencies / enterprises such as business contracts between Vietnamese companies and Russian companies, letters, transaction emails, export-import papers of goods between the two sides.

+ Roundtrip flight tickets and flight schedules to Russia. This must be a confirmation letter sent from the airline, showing full flight information, logo, contact number of the airline.

+ Proof of accommodation, such as hotel reservation in Russia, or proof of other accommodation (if any)

+ A copy of the compulsory insurance during the trip with the compensation fee as prescribed. Insurance to cover all expenses for medical reasons, emergency medical care or emergency treatment.

Russia visitor visa

• Relative Declaration

• A filled-in form for visitor visa application.

• 2 photograph of the specified size (3.5x4.5cm)

• A filled-in Visa declaration form

• A copy of family registration book

• A copy of ID card, ciriculum vitae with confirmation from local authority

• Marriage registration/ Disvorce certificate with confirmation from local authority

Proof of profession:

• If applicant is employed: a copy of labour contract, payslips in the past 3 months, vacation request letter

• If applicant is self-employed or a company owner: Certificate of business registration, tax papers in the past 3 months 

• If applicant is a student: student verification letter, a copy of student ID

• If applicant is retired: pension book

Proof of Finance

• Payslips in the past 3 months

• Statements of bank balance with at least 5000$ in the account

• Original and copy of saving book, credit card

• Certificate of ownership of other assets: papers of ownership of land use rights, vehicle papers, securities stocks, papers of ownership of other valuable assets, etc.

Travel schedule

• Detailed travel schedule (where to go, who to meat, what to do and when to return,etc)

• Roundtrip flight tickets and hotel booking confirmation

• Invitation letter, guarantor's information (if applicant has relatives in Russia)

Russia visa for visiting friends, family and relatives

• Passport, in original (with a minimum validity of six months)

• A filled-in visa application form.

• 2 photograph of the specified size (4x6cm)

• Roundtrip flight tickets and hotel booking confirmation or proof of residence in Russia

• Proof of finance: having at least 80,000 ruble at the time of application

• Proof of relationships with the inviter

• Original and copy of invitation letter

Besides, applicants might need to provide other documents such as:

• Invitation letter for visiting relativesm, stating time and purpose of the trip and who will pay for the trip

• If the inviter is in charge of the expenses, his/her proof of finance is required

• Letter of guarantor

• A copy of passport/ ID card/ resident card and other proof of residence, proof of income and bank balance of the inviter, etc.

Conditions for documents

• Passport must not have signs of counterfeit, erased or corrected; pages are not torn off. Photos must have a seal or security logo and. The validity of passport to expiry date of the visa must be at least 06 months.

• The visa declaration form must be written or typed and the applicant must sign and answer fully and accurately the questions in the form.

•  Photos of applicant wearing hats and black glasses, tilted images as well as photos captured from other documents are not accepted

Validity of Russian visas:

1. Vietnamese citizens holding diplomatic and official passports can enter and stay in Russia for 90 days, as well as transit through Russia without a visa.

2. For ordinary passport holders: visas are issued on the basis of the original invitation letter of the Federal Immigration Agency:

+ Individuals (Russian citizens, foreigners residing in Russia, legal entities who apply for invitation letter): visas are valid for up to 03 months, allowing single or double entry into Russia .

+ Business (Legal entities applying for an invitation letter): visa is valid for up to 1 year, allowing single, double or multiple entry into Russia

+ Travel: visa is valid for up to 01 month, allowing single or double entry into Russia.

+ Studying: (The school/university will apply for an invitation letter at the Federal Immigration Agency) visa valid for up to 03 months, allowing single or double entry into Russia.

+ Labor (Legal entities applying for invitations): visa valid for up to 3 months, allowing single, double or multiple entry into Russia.

+ Humane (Legal entities, organizations, government agencies apply for an invitation letter): visa valid for up to 01 year, allowing single, double or multiple entry into Russia

3. Transit visas are issued on the basis of a ticket to a third country and the visa of that country (if necessary). The visa is valid for up to 10 days, allowing single or double into Russia. Vietnamese citizens do not need a transit visa if they do not go outside the transit area and stay in Russia for less than 24 hours.
