A. CATEGORIES OF KOREA VISAS

1.  Single visa:

- This type of visa allows single entry and is valid for 3 months from the issue date

2. Multiple visa:

-  This type of visa allows multiple entries

- Visa validity can be 5 or 10 years. 5-year visa allows 30 day duration of stay for 1 entry, 10-year visa allows 90 day duration of stay for 1 entry. Both of them can only be used for purposes of business, commerce and tourism and can not be used for the employment purpose.

C- VISA EXEMPTION CASES

1.  Individual falling into these cases are exempt from South Korea visas.

- Citizens of countries that are in South Korea visa exemption list.

- People exempt from visa application

- People regularly entering South Korea

- Tourists waiting to transit to another country

- Japanese tourists

- Chinese tourists transitting to Europe

- Preferential tourists to Jeju island

- People having re- entry permit

- People having APEC Business travel cards

2. Citizens exempt from re-entry permit

- Individuals who are granted re-entry permits or exempt from re-entry permits may enter Korea without having to apply for a visa before the visa exemption agreement expires.

- The following countries are exempt from re-entry permits: Suriname, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Finland and Chile (Chileans are limited to C-2, D-7 or D-8 visa holders.)
